Dance Classes

Our classes are graded according to age and ability and follow the IDTA syllabus.

Pupils may start from 4 years of age and progress to professional dancer or teacher. Classes are held on various days at the Studio, Lelant Village Hall, Lelant, nr St.Ives.

Ballet

Monday –    Senior & Advance Ballet
Thursday    –    Beginners to Grade 4 Ballet

Tap

Wednesday    –    Grade 1 to Grade 5 Tap
Thursday    –    Beginners & Primary Tap / Senior & Advanced Tap
Saturday   –   Beginners to Grade 4 Tap

Theatre Craft

Wednesday    –    Grade 1 to Grade 5 Theatre Craft
Thursday    –    Beginners & Primary Theatre Craft / Senior & Advanced Theatre Craft
Saturday    –   Beginners to Grade 4 Theatre Craft

Jazz

Tuesday    –   Professional exam work
Wednesday    –   Primary to Grade 4 Jazz
Thursday    –   Senior & Advanced Jazz

Adult Tap

Wednesday – 7.45pm to 8.30pm – a really fun class for anyone wanting to Tap

Adult Jazz

Wednesday – 8:00pm to 9:15pm

Plus

Kids & co Performance company, Drama Workshops, Singing Practice and visiting Guest Teachers.

Students also have the opportunity as photographic models with one of Cornwall’s top photographers for national and local companies including National Maritime Museum, Worlds Apart, Holtz Toys, Falmouth Beach Resort, Clarks Shoes, Newquay Airport and numerous hotels and holiday attractions.

Dance & Exam wear

Children
Royal blue sleeveless leotard, skirt, white socks or tights
(depending on age and grade), pink Ballet shoes, red Tap shoes.
Jazz – coloured leotard, shorts or footless tights, bare feet, black jazz shoes(optional)

Seniors
Ballet – Black leotard, ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, pointe shoes
Tap – Dance pants. Leotard, black tap shoes
Jazz – Dance pants, leotards & tights, jazz shoes
Theatre Craft – leotard, stage tights, pink ballet shoes, heeled stage shoe, stage skirt

Dance wear, dance shoes, sweatshirts, joggers, T shirts, dance bags may be purchased from the school (second-hand items also available).
